Dec. 9 – Wor-Wic Winter Schedule

People will be receiving their winter schedule earlier this year, i.e., this week instead of after Christmas. Purpose is to allow everyone to better plan for the new year. We encourage everyone to register now to secure a slot in the class that they want to take.

Emphasize wide array of courses:

o Courses that can put people in the workforce within a matter of weeks, from health care positions like Certified Nursing Assistant, to the trades, to child care worker to truck driver.

o Courses that can help people brush up on their skills, e.g., computer and supervisory, to be more competitive and effective on the job

o We will work directly with companies to do customized training, either at their location or on campus

o Personal enrichment courses like photography, American literature, stargazing

A program that we’re particularly excited to be starting is driver education. There is financial aid available for eligible applicants.
