DE Police Investigating Fatal Crash
NEWARK, Del. (AP) – Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 37-year-old woman.
Police say the crash occurred just after 7 p.m. on Saturday, when a pedestrian was walking in the southbound lane on Interstate 95 in Newark was struck by a car. Police say the victim was vaulted onto the car's hood and windshield and landed in the roadway, where she was struck a second time by another car.
Police have identified the victim as Laura Grant of Oxford, Pennsylvania. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Both drivers were uninjured during the incident.
