Bowers Fire Company Honors The Life Of A Young Teen

FREDERICA, Del.-  A huge showing of
solidarity from firefighters across the state Delaware, they honored the memory
of a volunteer emergency responder  who
died over the weekend.

A total of 25 fire
companies formed a spectacular procession of emergency vehicles to escort the
body of 17- year-old Brittney Ford from the hospital to a Delaware funeral home.

We're told Ford was hit by
a truck this past Wednesday, and she succumbed to her injuries on Friday. A
representative from the Bower's Fire Company tells 47 ABC Ford was a volunteer
with the station and had plans to dedicate her career to fire- fighting,
working as an EMT.

Those close to Ford said she wanted to save
lives, and to honor her, all of Ford's organs were donated to those in need.
