Bayhealth sets up temporary visitor policy

A local hospital has revised their visitor policy, to keep patients flu free.
Bayhealth Kent General and Bayhealth Milford Memorial say starting on Wednesday, children under the age of 12, will not be permitted to visit patients in the hospital.
Any older than 12, who is not seeking medical treatment, but has flu symptoms, including fever/chills, body aches, cough, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, and/or vomiting, is asked to not visit a patient. Those looking for treatment at either facility is asked to stop by the respiratory etiquette stations, which include hand sanitizer, face masks, and tissues.
Bayhealth says they appreciate the public’s understanding and cooperation of this temporary visitor policy. Bayhealth will reportedly lift the temporary ban when it is safe for patients and visitors.
