AAA Mid-Atlantic report shows the good and bad of 2014 driving

Crashes are easily the most tragic of events when it comes to driving, but some positive things do happen on our nation’s roads.

AAA Mid-Atlantic has released a report on the year’s best and worst in transportation.

Some of the best, a free fall in gas prices. American consumers are saving approximately 200 million per day in gasoline purchases as opposed to a year ago.

Another positive, traffic deaths saw a decline in 2014. The reports says that in the first quarter of the year 350 fewer deaths occurred compared to the same time in 2013.

Some not so positive news, the amount of airbag recalls. While it did mean that defected air bags were removed, the reported 14 million faulty airbags put drivers of around two dozen makes and models at risk.
