Woodbridge Field Hockey Comes Up Short Against Padua

Bear, DE- The magical season for the Woodbridge field hockey team came to an end Thursday night as the Lady Blue Raiders were defeated by Padua 3-0.

Padua jumped on Woodbridge early with 2 goals in the first eight minutes of the game. Maia Lee put a shot past Woodbridge keeper Emily Adams with 22 plus minutes remaining in the first half. Just one minute later Pandas forward Ashlee Brentlinger got a breakaway and put the shot into the back of the net.

The Blue Raiders finish the season 10-4-1 in one of the most successful seasons to date in program history. Coach Monica Wheatley said, “I could not have picked a better group of girls,” “its been a great season.”
