South Girls Soccer Defeats North In Senior Bayside Match

American Corner, MD – The South claimed the bragging rights over the North this year in the Senior Girls Soccer All-Star match 6-3. Stephen Decatur's Jillian Petito and Parkside's Emily Davis finished with hat tricks for team South.

The South would jump out to a quick lead after Emily Davis would fly up the left field on a break away and send one past the keeper for her first goal of the game. Shortly after that, James M. Bennett's Allie O'Leary would send a perfect pass into the box off a free kick that Petito would just get a foot on and send it home. It looked as though the South was going to pull away, but the North mounted a comeback. The North would score back to back goals to tie the match including a rocket from North Caroline's Emily Carnochan. Petito would then score two straight goals to again give the South a comfortable lead. After the North got one back, Davis would seal the match late adding the matches final two scores. Worth noting, Mardela's Gabby Keplinger played goal keeper for the South for the first time in her career, and did so with out keeper gloves.

She also recorded the win.
