Salisbury University Football in a heart-breaking loss to Alfred
SALISBURY, MD — The Salisbury University football team fell 23-21 against Alfred University on Saturday.
The Sea Gulls had the lead heading into halftime 14-7 but the Saxons came out in the third quarter in full force. Alfred's Tyler Johnson did not take any chances and tied things up with a 1-yard touchdown.
The Gulls would start the fourth quarter on the right note. Jerome Johnson got into the end zone for a 14-yard touchdown and gave Salisbury the 21-14 lead.
Salisbury held the lead throughout the entire game until the final scoring drive where the Saxons would set themselves up for a 22-yard game winning field goal.
The Gulls will be back in action for the final home game of the season on Nov. 8th versus Brockport State.
