Salisbury Celebrates Small Business Saturday

SALISBURY, Md.- Black Friday may be over, but holiday deals are just beginning.  Many shoppers were able to pick up some gifts for the season on Salisbury's Downtown Plaza, where they hosted “Small Business Saturday.”

The day was created to encourage people to support their local businesses the day after Thanksgiving. In return, businesses provide sales and discounts to customers, like local salon Enza's Organics. All of their products were ten percent off.

Zina Gallo- Brechbill, the owner of Enza's Organic Salon says, “Downtown's the heart of Salisbury and I just think it's so nice that we're getting a lot of attention by encouraging people to come here and support the local businesses.”

Business owners say this year has been the best turn out since the creation of small business Saturday.
