Police Investigate Vandalism At Rehoboth Beach Motor Cars

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Delaware State Police say they are investigating vandalism at a luxury car lot over the weekend.

Owners of Rehoboth Beach Motor Cars say 22 of their vehicles either have scrapes in the paint, and/or slashes in the convertible roofs. Police estimate it caused more than $36,000 in damages.

The vandalism reportedly happened sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning when the business was closed. Police say they do not have any suspects or leads at this time.

“It is almost half of our inventory, so that's going to put a damper on things,” says Rana Salem, owner of Rehoboth Beach Motor Cars. “If anybody saw anything, please let us know or contact the police. If anybody has an indication, or if there is any vandalism they know of in their community, if they could speak out and we can find out who did this and why.”

Salem says they have a great relationship with all of their clients and would not expect any of them to do something like this.

If you have any information on this incident, call Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
