Georgetown Inmate Wanted On Escape Charge

GEORGETOWN, Del. – An inmate from a local corrections center, has reportedly not returned from an authorized pass.

The Delaware Department of Correction says 44-year-old Rachel Tarnovshci, was given an authorized job seeking pass from the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Georgetown, but didn't come back on Thursday. Officials say they have attempted to contact Tarnovshci, but haven't heard from her, so she is now wanted on an escape warrant.

Tarnovshci is described as a white woman, standing 5' 2″ tall, weighting 110 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. Inmates at SCCC, a level 4 facility, are permitted to leave to work, look for work, or attend treatment sessions. They aren't secured like level 5 facilities.

Tarnovshci was serving a sentence of six months, for a violation of probations for theft. Anyone with information on Tarnovshci is asked to call 1-800-542-9524 or a local police department.
