Cape Soccer Comes Away With Shutout Win Over Polytech

Dover, DE- A cold night at Dover High School turned into an even cooler feeling for the boys soccer team of Cape Henlopen. The Vikings scored a goal midway thru the first half, and heated up in the second for two more scores to take the 3-0 win over Polytech.

Holding a 1-0 lead at the half, Cape used a pressing offense to limit Poly's chances to tie the game. Vikings captain Zach Swarbrick found the back of the net twice off of Drew Mulcahy crosses, giving Cape the score that they would hold on to for the win.

For Cape, it was their 14th win of the season, the Vikings now move to the semifinal round against Caesar Rodney on Wednesday, November 12th at 8pm, at Dover High School.
