Bulldogs Ready For Hodgson, State Championship

Laurel, DE – Time to wake up and stop sleeping on the Laurel football team. These Bulldogs are for real, and they are ready to prove it.

After being doubted all season long lead this group to adopting the mantra, “keep sleepin”, they have proved all the naysayers wrong and are now in the state championship game against Hodgson. Friday night Laurel held a pep rally at the high school football field to get the team prepared for the big game.

As they seemingly have been all season long, the Bulldogs will go into the final game of the year as the underdogs to a Hodgson team led by one of the best athletes in the state. Their quarterback Raymond Jones was picked as Delaware's Offensive Player of the Year as a junior, and he is having an even bigger season this year as a senior. The University of Delaware commit has thrown and rushed for over a thousand yards, and no doubt will be a handful on Saturday. Many expect him to have another big day against Laurel's defense, but that's fine by them.

“Keep sleepin”.
