Battle of the Bell: Lake Forest Defeats Milford 40-13

FELTON, DE — It was the “Battle of the Bell” in Felton on Friday night. The Lake Forest Spartans will keep the bell for another year as they defeated the Milford Buccaneers 40-13 and remained undefeated for the 2014 regular football season.

Rivalry games are always unpredictable especially since it was the last week of the regular football season. 

The Spartans were the first on the board with a 18-yard touchdown run by Noah Feague-Johnson. The Bucs were quick to respond after Shawn Snowden catches one in the endzone. The momentum quickly changed. But Lake Forest continued their strong values on the field of being one team and fighting till the end and would score again with a huge 45-yard touchdown run by John Flamer. 

Lake Forest scored another 27 points to get the win.

Lake Forest finished the regular season undefeated (10-0) and won its fourth straight “Battle of the Bell.” Milford wrapped up their regular season 1-9.
