Washington Field Hockey Down Crisfield To Advance

Princess Anne, MD – The Washington field hockey team defeated Crisfield 2-0 Thursday night to advance to regional semi-finals. The Jaguars will now play Pocomoke on Monday.

Washington was able to jump out to an early lead in the first half and held it for a 1-0 lead at the break. Both teams would continue to battle in the second half, with the Jags controlling the possession for most the frame. Washington's good spacing offensively coupled with good passing would lead to several open shots, but they weren't able to put many of them home til finally Nicole Thorton would deliver the insurance goal.
