Saints Peter and Paul Girls Soccer Dynasty Reaches 5

Berlin, DE – The Saints Peter and Paul girls soccer team defeated Worcester Prep 1-0 in double overtime to claim the Eastern Shore Independent Athletic Conference crown. It is the 5th straight championship for the Sabres.

The teams would battle to a standstill in the regular session with both teams finding cracks for some shots, but with both teams keepers making incredible individual plays. In overtime both squads would continue to attack, and the Mallards keeper would be challenged on several free kicks, but again would come up with a number of diving plays. In the second overtime period, it again looked as though we would go scoreless and head to a penalty kick shootout, but with just 47 seconds remaining, the Sabres would score the game winning goal as Shelby Lehmann would take a pass from Riley Detar's and fire it home for the win.
