New Lawyer, Trial Date Set For Tonya Bundick

ACCOMACK CO., Va. – Convicted arsonist Tonya Bundick now has a new lawyer.

According to the Accomack County Circuit Court Clerk's Office, Janee Joslin of Virginia Beach has been appointed as her new counsel. The change comes after a judge granted her motion for a new lawyer, after Bundick's September sentencing.

There were also Notices of Appeal filed in the two previous cases that Bundick was sentenced on. Last month, a judge sentenced her to 10.5 years in prison.

Bundick's next trial, for one of 62 counts for last year's string of arson fires, is scheduled for December 15th and 16th in Virginia Beach. She will be tried for count 53, which was for an arson that happened on March 4th.

There's still no sentencing date for Charlie Smith.
