Haunted Delmarva – Milford Skate Rink
Milford, Del. – The Milford Skate Rink is supposedly home to at least 5 souls. Owner Carmen Kemper says, that all are friendly. During our investigation, we attempted to speak with two of them.
The first was a 10 year-old boy who died while on the rink back in the 1980's. “We can literally hear somebody skating in the middle of the night,” says Kemper.
Kemper says that the staff makes sure all skates are properly placed back onto their racks before closing for the night. But when they come back in the following morning, she will find skates hanging off the racks and sitting upright on the floor. However, the racks have a lip to keep the shoes from falling, and a person must lift the skates up from the racks in order to remove them.
We set up our séance in corner 2,
they Kemper says the boy passed. Initially, the boy didn't want to
speak with us. We used an EMF machine that allows the spirits to
answer with a yes or no. When we asked to speak with the boy, he
responded no.
Another
machine which claims to shows words that the spirit wants to say,
displayed the words “BEAT” followed by “MOMMY.”
I
asked the boy if he would like to back up, and he responded no, then
the word “HUG” appeared. And when we placed another machine
inside of a roller skate, it immediately started beeping and lights
began to flash.
Our
second contact was with an old employee called Pop Pop. He was
responsible for repairing broken skates. Kemper says, he is still
making sure that all runs smoothly.
“From
time to time we would see a skate out on the counter. He's giving us
the indication that we are doing something wrong,” says Kemper.
We
set up our equipment around pop pop's old apron. The readings we got
were a little unclear. We received a lot of words, but couldn't
pinpoint what they meant. However, almost every device went off at
least once, and some went off at the same time.
Does
this prove spirits walk and skate among us? The decision is yours.
