Woodbridge Volleyball Optimistic for new season

BRIDGEVILLE, DE — The Woodbridge Blue Raiders started off their 2014 volleyball season with a match-up against Glasgow High. They lost in three sets to the Dragons 25-14, 25-9, 25-12.

Even with the loss, Blue Raiders head coach Erin Mayhew is optimistic for the new season considering most of the starting team from last year graduated. Most of the players that started Friday's game  were called up from junior varsity.

Communication will be key this season and that's something Mayhew is working on with the team. After going 2-14 last season she's making sure each player knows where they are on the floor and communicating.

The Blue Raiders will be heading to Conrad School for their next match on Tuesday, September 9th at 5:15pm.
