UD Students Protest School Policy
NEWARK, De. – Protesters gathered at the University of Delaware Friday calling for change to the schools sexual harassment policy. This comes in the wake of an article in the schools newspaper claming a UD professor was offering students higher grades for sexual favors.
Students voiced their opinions on campus and the schools administration responded. In a statement on Friday's events, UD President Patrick Harker said, “I applaud the students and faculty members who organized today's event to voice their concerns and ideas about sexual harassment. We are now at a point where we must use today's momentum as another important step toward ridding our campus of such behavior.”
The article, sparking the protest, was originally in The Review, UD's independent student newspaper.
