SU Students Start The Year On A High Note

SALISBURY, MD - There's no better way to start the school year than getting the chance to see your whole campus.

Salisbury University students lined up and blasted off, more than 20 feet in the air.

This is the second year the Student organization for activities planning or SOAP put on the event.

SOAP not only wants to start the new year off right but also wants students to have fun and be safe.

“As SOAP we try to get students that aren't interested in the party scene getting them to do fun things that don't involve alcohol on the weekends. This is one of those events where we're hoping students of all ages will come and enjoy this and kind of stay safe tonight.” said Miranda Haney, Event Coordinator.

Last year one hundred twenty five students participated.

This year by 7pm nearly one hundred students were already signed up.
