Parkside Volleyball Hands Clippers First Loss

Salisbury, MD – The Parkside volleyball team improved their record to 6-1 on the year after they took down previously unbeaten James M. Bennett 3-1 (30-28, 25-22, 18-25, 25-18) Friday afternoon. The Rams and Clippers went back and forth in an extremely close Set 1, with Bennett leading the majority of the time.

After it looked like Bennett was on their way to a Set 1 win leading 23-20, the Rams staged a huge comeback, and would extend the set. Finally, Parkside came out on top after Janna Parks ace would seal the deal. The win gave the Rams all the momentum headed into Set 2, where they again were able to pull out the win.

But the Clippers showed why they were undefeated coming into this thing, as they battled back in Set 3 to take it to extend the match. The teams would go back and forth again in Set 4, before Parkside was finally able to come away with the win.

The Rams are back in action Tuesday when they play at Stephen Decatur, while the Clippers return to action next Thursday when they host Kent Island.
