Parkside Football Makes Statement With Win Over Bennett

Salisbury, MD – The Parkside football team picked up their first win of the year Friday night after they took down James M. Bennett 33-14. The Rams jumped out to an early lead after a couple touchdown passes from Devin Redding.

Redding's strong start helped the Rams to a 21-0 lead, but the Clippers would look for a spark to get back into the game the second half. The Clippers were on a drive before a pass would be intercepted by Connor Savage. The Clippers would respond though, forcing a turnover on the ensuing defensive stand. They would then drive down the field and cap it off with a touchdown by Trayshawn Wright. But the Rams didn't give in, one more touchdown from Redding would put this game out of reach.

Parkside is back in action next Friday when they host Easton, while Bennett is on the road at Snow Hill.
