Delmar Field Hockey Blanks Seaford, Remains Undefeated

Delmar, DE.- Just one year after making an appearance in the DIAA state championship game, the Delmar Wildcats field hockey team is streaking once again.

After winning their first eight games in 2013, the Wildcats have now won their first four. “Were stepping up, were a young team but we're clicking.” said head coach Jodi Holloman. The Wildcats got three goals from forward Kayla Adkins, and held a 7-0 advantage at halftime.

The true test for Delmar will come Tuesday when they travel to face also unbeaten Polytech. Coach Hollaman said, “Polytech is a great team, I think they return just about every single player, they are well coached, their fast, and im sure they're very hungry to beat us. I look to this game as a way to see where we will fit in, and how we can step up to a bigger, stronger team than us physically.”

The Wildcats and Panthers face off Tuesday, September 16th at 4 P.M. at Polytech High School.
