Clippers Football Takes Down Nandua
Salisbury, MD – The James M. Bennett football team bounced back from their week one loss at Easton by picking up a much needed win Friday night when they took down Nandua 28-20. The Clippers took the lead in the T.J. Hayward broke a huge run up the left sideline and would just take it in for the score. It looked like the Clippers would take that 7-0 lead into the second quarter, but following a short run for the Warriors, they would get one more play before the end of the first thanks to a penalty. That play turned into a 56 yard scamper to the house by their quarterback to tie it up 7-7.
Bennett would control the second quarter, pushing their lead to 21-7 after a pair of touchdown passes by Jacob Larmore, the first too Barry Gaines and the second to L.J. Carter. The Warriors would end up battling back to make a game of it the second half, but Bennett would close it out for the win.
The Clippers are back in action next Friday when they take on Parkside at 6:30pm.
