Cape Spoils Caesar Rodney’s Homecoming
Camden, DE.- The Cape Henlopen Vikings marched their undefeated record into Riders Stadium and came out kings on Caesar Rodney's homecoming, defeating the Riders 35-20.
Cape depended on strong performances by usuals Tavon Scott, Ja'von Currie, William Gibbs, and Justin Wiberg. Wiberg caught two touchdown passes from Currie in the second half. On the ground Currie ate up yards as Gibbs put the game away with a two-yard touchdown run with less than 1 minute remaining.
Things dont get any easier for the Riders as go on the road to face Polytech next Friday, as Cape goes on the road to face Cambridge South Dorchester in the Viking Bowl.
