Bennett Girls Soccer Stay Perfect, Down Mardela

Salisbury, MD – The James M. Bennett girls soccer team remained perfect on the year after defeating Mardela 5-0 Thursday afternoon. The Clippers jumped out to an early lead in the first half after a goal by brittney Boardman. Soon there after, Allie O'Leary would finish a nice feed to the middle to give her team a 2-0 lead.

The Warriors would tighten down defensively though, as Megan Roy and Sam Pope helped keep their team in it. But the Clippers never took their foot off the gas pedal, as Boardman would attack the sideline late in the first half and send it into the box finding a cutting Abbey Hobbs, and should would send it home. Clippers would take a 3-0 lead into the break, before eventually closing it out the second half. On the year now, Bennett is now 4-0 and has yet to give up a goal. The loss drops Mardela too 1-3 on the season.

The Clippers return to action Tuesday when they host Stephen Decatur, while the Warriors host Parkside next Tuesday.
