#4 Wesley Cruises Past Rowan
Dover, DE.- For the second week in a row, the fourth-ranked Wesley College team's defense played lights out, allowing just 106 total yards as the Wolverines (3-0) defeated Rowan Saturday afternoon at Scott D. Miller Stadium.
Wesley's defense did not allow a first down until 6:36 left in the third quarter, and was only on the field for 41 plays as the offense's time of possession reached over 36 minutes. Sosthene Kapepula led Wesley with 5 tackles, the All-American was all over the field as usual.
Quarterback Joe Callahan had another great game, completing 30-of-43 for 364 yards and 3 touchdowns, hitting 10 different receivers. Wesley's all-time leading receiver Steve Koudossou caught eight passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. Xavier Allen and Tory Robinson also had receiving touchdowns. Running back Jamar Baynard added 144 all-purpose yards, with one rushing touchdown. Brandon Wright also scored a rushing score. Wesley totaled 486 offensive yards on the day.
The Wolverines' offense scored the game's first 31 points, while the defense forced seven-straight three-and-outs. The Wolverines will look to win their fourth game of the season as they host Southern Virginia on Saturday, September 27th. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
