One business steps in to clean debris after the EF-1 tornado hit

On Monday, an EF-1 tornado hit Salisbury, leaving a trail of destruction.

The neighborhood near Princeton Avenue was shaken from the tornado.

Besides the city stepping in to clean up, The Red Cross reached out to a local Home Depot to provide a helping hand to 8 different homes.

Since it's private property, the city can't come on the premises. That's why the 8 volunteers were so important.

They were able to bring fallen trees to the curbside for the city to scoop up and they got a little help from the friends they keep tighty on the shelves. Friends like chainsaws, shovels, and wheel barrels.

While this may seem like a random act of kindness, it isn't. Home Depot always tries to give back, which is one of their several core values that the company strives to instill in its employees.

Many of the homeowners didn't even ask for help, but that doesn't mean they don't need it. And it doesn't mean that the Home Depot and the people they employ are going to overlook them.
