CHESTER, Md. – The Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a woman after she allegedly brought a firearm into the Chester Taco Bell.

Deputies arrested 30-year-old Ashley Andrews of Chester on misdemeanor charges of second degree assault, handgun on person, disorderly conduct, and reckless endangerment. She has since been released on a $5,000 unsecured personal bond, and been trespassed from the location.

On Jun. 18, deputies responded to the Taco Bell located on State Street after receiving a report of a woman displaying a handgun during a verbal altercation with employees. Upon arrival, deputies detained two people, identified as Andrews and a person associated with her who was also involved in the argument.

While detained, deputies removed a loaded firearm from Andrews and contact was made with staff members of the restaurant who identified her as the suspect. Staff told deputies that Andrews had become upset over her wait time for her food before telling staff members to meet her in the parking lot. She then allegedly lifted her shirt to show a handgun and verbally threatened the employees.

Deputies reviewed surveillance footage, as well as footage captured on an employee’s cell phone, and observed Andrews acting as described.
