spread of a car crash that killed 17 year old natalie insley. also in that car– another teenage boy– still in critical condition– as well as two brothers. one of those brothers– a local little league stand out. his team rallied in his absence– as he recovers from the crash. spenser tilus caught up with members of the west salisbury squad today sirens the celebration was on today at the west salisbury little league field, as 13 of our boys are headed to michigan, to play in the world series “i mean its great just to know that you match up with these kinds of teams. to know that you are one of the 10, best in the world.” its been a long road to even make it just this far.. and took the entire team to make it possible “after districts, after we won districts, we started jelling together, and we started coming together as a team and playing together,” and if getting this royal send off from in front of family and friends wasn’t enough.. the team got a special emotional lift today “headed with his team to the little league world series, mr. ethan peterman!”‘ “it feels good, feels good knowing that i am part of the team. and that they are just doing this for me, and winning. feels great.” ethan had been separated from his teammates after a serious car accident. but while he couldn’t be in the dugout.. the team always had him on their hearts.. and on their heads “yea we had him in our hearts, and we had him on our mind, every play, and every at bat.” “that was the whole reason that i, and us, that’s the reason we did it, was for ethan.” the best news for the team was saved for last. ethan will be rejoining his team, and headed with them to the world series! “i feel awesome, just going. i didn;t know i was going to go. just to be going with them, and have that experience.” in salisbury, spenser tilus, 47abc since then – the community has rallied together to help the insley family –
