Dover Police respond to possible overdose, find one pot methlabs
DOVER, Del. – A simple call for help and a reported overdose got interesting for police in Dover this morning.
According to investigators officers went to the Walgreens parking lot on Route 8 with every intention of helping someone, that was until they found two one pot methlabs.
Police say that the discovery is the continuation of a troubling trend and because the one pot method is something that can be completed with a bottle or container it’s hard to identify.
“Obviously they’re mobile, they’re in a vehicle it’s inside of essentially a water bottle or a juice bottle,” M.-Cpl. Mark Hoffman, Public Information Officer with the Dover Police Department, said. “I mean it can be difficult to locate, they are small , I mean we’re not talking meth labs that consume an entire home or a kitchen that you see on TV or in other areas of the country.”
Police say education is crucial because while the drug itself poses a health risk, the bottles themselves are also dangerous.
Investigators warn that anyone looking to duplicate the one pot meth could create an accidental explosion.
