Delaware Launches Federal Misconduct Reporting Form

DELAWARE – The Delaware Office of New Americans (ONA), in partnership with the Governor’s Office and the Delaware Department of Justice (DOJ), have announced the launch of a new Federal Misconduct Reporting Form.

The form is a statewide tool designed to help residents report concerning interactions with federal immigration enforcement and other federal authorities. Leaders say the coordinated initiative strengthens Delaware’s commitment to protecting civil rights, increasing transparency, and ensuring that all residents have a safe and accessible way to report potential misconduct.

“Government works for the people, not the other way around,” said Governor Matt Meyer. “Public servants should never be a source of public fear. This reporting form is about trust, accountability, and making one thing unmistakably clear: Delaware will not be bullied out of protecting its people.”

Leaders say submissions will help ONA and the Delaware DOJ to identify patterns, connect impacted individuals with resources, and inform appropriate legal or policy responses. The form is accessible on the ONA website, available in English and Spanish, with an intention to expand to multiple other languages. The form is designed with privacy and confidentiality in mind, and individuals are encouraged to share as much information as they feel comfortable providing.

“For many immigrant families, fear and uncertainty can make it difficult to speak up,” said Rony Baltazar-Lopez, ONA Director. “This form is about changing that reality. It gives people a direct, safe way to report concerns and helps us better support communities, respond to harm, and advocate for fair treatment.”
