Hey everybody! I’m Jean Vivola, your morning and noon Meteorologist at 47 ABC! I received my bachelor’s degree from Millersville University in 2015 with a major in Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics. I’m originally from Lititz, Pennsylvania, so I’m familiar with the Mid-Atlantic and its weather. I’ve been fascinated with meteorology for my entire life, especially thunderstorms and hurricanes, but I genuinely love every type of weather.
While in college, I interned at CBS 21 in Harrisburg, PA and the National Weather Service in Mount Holly, NJ. I also participated in NASA funded research project, known as DISCOVER-AQ, studying air quality in Houston, TX. After graduation, I worked at WGAL in Lancaster, PA as a Weather Producer and Digital Editor.
I’ve been coming to Delmarva with my family to Chincoteague, VA and Ocean City, MD for most of my life, and I’m ecstatic to be living and working near my favorite places. When I’m not at work, you’ll probably find me at the beach, hiking, or horseback riding.
