    Official Rules

    No purchase necessary. Must be 17 years old or a high school graduate to enter, and at least 18 years old or a high school graduate when classes begin, to redeem prize. Register to win by submitting an online entry form that includes a brief statement as to how a college education could change your life, at www.bankofdelmarva.com, www.47abc.com, or by scanning the QR Code. The form must be completed by the individual who will be accepting the prize. ONLY ONE ENTRY ALLOWED PER PERSON. Duplicate and/or incomplete entries will be removed from consideration. Prior winners and employees of Marquee Broadcasting, Inc., 47 ABC, its affiliates, The Bank of Delmarva, its affiliates and "Full-Time Standard" employees of Wor-Wic Community College, and all dependents of each sponsor, are not eligible. All submissions become the property of the sponsors.
    The winners named on the selected entry forms will become the official "winners" and they must meet and abide by the rules set forth here. Entries will be accepted beginning 5/1/23 through 6 p.m. on 9/22/23. A panel of judges will select the top 20 entries based on the brief statements on all eligible submissions. Two winners and two contingent runner-ups will be chosen in a random drawing from the 20 top finalists no later than 5 p.m. and announced during the 47 ABC News Hour at approximately 6 p.m. on 10/13/23.
    47 ABC will make every effort to contact the winners. If there is no response within 30 days of the first notification, the prize pack will be offered to the first contingent runner-up and so on until a suitable winner is found. Winners must apply for, and accept, all financial aid and veterans’ benefits (if applicable) that they are eligible for before prize funds can be awarded. They must complete the registration process by 6/30/24, or the complete prize (tuition, books, fees, and laptop) will be awarded to the first runner-up and so on until a suitable winner is found. Runners-up must apply for, and accept, all financial aid and veteran’s benefits (if applicable) and complete the registration process by 12/31/24. Laptops are not available to winners until one week before classes begin and proof of class registration must be submitted to 47 ABC to claim the laptop. All admission requirements must be met, and no admission preference will be given to the winners. Former or current Wor-Wic students must meet the college’s standards for satisfactory academic progress in order to receive or continue receiving the benefits of the prize. A maximum of 36 credit hours (540 contact hours for continuing education) can be taken with the total value not to exceed $10,500 including tuition, books and fees. If the student violates student conduct regulations or fails to maintain satisfactory academic progress, the remainder of the prize is forfeited. Any credit/contact hours not used within 2 years of the start date of the winner’s first contest-related class are forfeited.
    The prize cannot be redeemed for cash value or exchanged. Tuition, books, fees and laptop are non-transferable and no substitution will be allowed. Income taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the winners. By participating in this contest, you accept and agree to these rules, which shall be final and legally binding. You also hereby grant Marquee Broadcasting, Inc., The Bank of Delmarva and Wor-Wic Community College the right to use your name, image and voice for any and all future promotional purposes. Marquee Broadcasting, Inc., The Bank of Delmarva and Wor-Wic Community College and their agencies and parent companies assume no responsibility or liability for damages, losses or injuries resulting from acceptance or use of these prizes.
