Get Well Map Foundation supports hospitalized children

MILTON, Del. –  People from across Milton kicked off fundraising efforts for the Get Well Map Foundation, a non-profit that supports kids facing medical challenges.

The event called Sometimes Life Stinks Cow Pie 50/50 Fundraiser was a chance to collect money for the foundation.

Members of the foundation help to create Get Well Maps, which are designed to help kids track progress when they are hospitalized.

Each one has a picture of the child and a road map that leads to their home.

The map keeps them encouraged while they are in the hospital indefinitely.

Proceeds from Saturday’s event will go towards more resources.

“We are hoping with the proceeds of this event we’ll be able to start a farm-themed Get Well Map and some other initiatives that will helps us get these resources and tools to the kids that need them,” said the Get Well Map Foundation President Christina Connors.

The president of the foundation hopes these maps will be used across the country in the future.
