Blades Police Officer arrested for interfering with underage alcohol investigation

FELTON, Del. – Officials say a Blades Police Officer is facing several charges after he reportedly interfered with an underage drinking investigation at a Felton bar over the weekend.

Officers from the Division of Alcohol and Tobacco Enforcement were at the Owls Nest taproom on Saturday, checking to see if there was any underage drinking going on at the establishment.

During the check, they found two people inside drinking who weren’t legally allowed to do so, and while checking the I.D. of the second suspect, Blades officer William Paskey reportedly intervened.

Officials say Paskey got in between the officer and the suspect and pushed the officer away, allowing the suspect to flee the scene.

It is believed that Paskey was drunk at the time of the incident. He is charged with resisting arrest, hindering prosecution, and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
