Operation Seas the Day helps local veterans transition into civilian life

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – In Bethany Beach, wounded soldiers and their families traveled Tuesday for the 6th annual Operation Seas the Day.

It’s a week-long warrior beach vacation to help veterans and their loved ones transition into civilian life.

32 veteran families will spend their time enjoying the Delmarva sun and making lifetime memories surrounded by a community supporting them every step of the way.

“It brings the family together when there is distance and I’m sure they didn’t know my family’s situation, but they love veterans just that much and just going around town everyone is sincere, everyone is loving and everyone just embraces you,” explains an operation family, Mechia and Dom Brown.

These families will be doing all sorts of things this week like bike riding, boating, fishing and other activities to give these families much needed fun in the sun.

Hundreds of local businesses are participating in this awesome event as well.
