UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with fatal shooting in Salisbury

A man was arrested after troopers say he was involved in the fatal shooting of a Wicomico County man.

Maryland State Police say on Wednesday, 26-year-old Jonathan Megee, of Salisbury, was arrested in connection with a June 2018 murder investigation. Troopers say on June 6, around 7:30 PM, 29-year-old Shawn Johnson was shot multiple times in the 600 block of Priscilla Street, in Salisbury. The Fruitland man later died at the hospital. 

Law enforcement says they believe Megee and the victim knew each other. A motive for the shooting is not being identified at this time. 

Megee was charged with second degree murder, manslaughter, first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony violent crime.  The 26-year-old is currently being held without bond. 

MSP says additional arrests are possible. This shooting remains under investigation.
