UPDATE: Del. man charged in connection with vehicle theft investigation

A man was arrested after police say he was involved in the theft of a truck owned by the City of Milford.

The Milford Police Department says on Wednesday, around 4:45  AM, 28-year-old Maurice Harrison was arrested after an officer noticed him walking in the area of Northwest 3rd Street. Police say Harrison was arrested in connection with a vehicle theft investigation. Authorities report that a City of Milford-owned 2006 Chevrolet Colorado was taken from the parking lot of the Milford Parks and Recreation building on August 1.

According to the report, the Georgetown man was identified during the investigation after latent prints were collected from the vehicle by the Milford Police Department's Evidence Technician and analyzed by the State Bureau of Identification. 

The vehicle was later found in Selbyville on August 1.

Harrison was charged with one count of theft of a motor vehicle.

His bail was set at $500 secured and he was turned over to the Sussex Correctional Institution.
