Man arrested on burglary charges in Delaware

A man is in custody after police say he was involved in a series of burglaries that happened in Delaware. 

The Dover Police Department says on Sunday, at 6:30 PM, 25-year-old Jason Sammons was arrested in connection with a series of residential burglaries in the Dover East Estates Mobile Home Park. Police say Sammons was involved in the burglaries between April and July. 

According to the report, Sammons was arrested by the Camden Police Department on an unrelated shoplifting charge and they then learned that he was wanted by the Dover Police Department.

The 25-year-old was charged with burglary 2nd degree (8x), theft under $1,500 (8x), and criminal mischief (6x).

He was turned over to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $26,000 secure bond.
