Delaware inmates end hunger strike

According to the Department of Correction, more than a dozen inmates have ended their hunger strike.

A spokeswoman for the DOC confirms the strike ended Tuesday afternoon.

Reportedly, 14 inmates at Sussex Correctional Institute in Georgetown, began refusing meals at breakfast on Monday.

Those inmates were also charged in a fatal prison riot that happened in February 2017 at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, in Smyrna.
