Caroline-Dorchester County fair provides need funds for 4-H program

In Caroline County families and friends spent their afternoon enjoying day two of the 44th Annual Caroline-Dorchester County Fair. The fair, put on by the Maryland Agricultural Fair Board offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The event features livestock exhibits, shows, arts and crafts and much more. And officials say that the fair plays a crucial role in providing funds for the University of Maryland Extension's 4-H club

"It's important to have that avenue for generating income to support our 4H programs, we provide scholarships, we take the money and put it back towards 4H program is just to continue this year after year for future generations," said 4-H educator Navonne Owen.

If you haven't gotten a chance to make it to the fair yet don't worry you've still got two more days to get in on the fun. The fair will be open again on both Friday and Saturday starting at 8 AM.
