Officials: No injuries reported after gas leak in Del.

No injuries were reported after officials say they responded to a gas leak at a Delaware hotel.

The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Department says on Tuesday, around 5:40 PM, they were dispatched to a gas leak at the Dewey Beach Police Department, on Rodney Street. Once on scene, emergency personnel says a strong odor of gas was present in the area. Officials report that the source of the leak was not a the Rodney Street location, but it was located at the Hotel Dewey on Coastal Highway. 

According to the report, firefighters and Dewey Beach police evacuated the hotel and first responders set up a water line to disperse the gas. 

Authorities say they were on scene for over an hour spraying water on the tank until it was empty.
