UPDATE: Easton man officially charged in shots fired and standoff incident

The man who allegedly fired at construction workers before getting into a standoff with police on Tuesday June 5th has been officially charged. 

Authorities say that Robert Neu was arrested on a warrant on Thursday.

The 57-year old now faces charges of Attempted 1st and 2nd Degree Murder, Assault 1st and 2nd Degree and Reckless Endangerment among other charges. 

On Tuesday, Neu allegedly shot at construction workers before heading back into his house where he had a three hour standoff with police. 

Police and SWAT were eventually able to get access into the home where they took Neu in without incident and was later treated at a local hospital.

No officers or members of the community were injured during that standoff.
