Salisbury Zoo hosts Pollinator Week

The Salisbury Zoo is doing something special this week to teach children all about pollinators.

It's all for their Pollinator Week which is a week dedicated to the bees, butterflies, and other insects we rely on here on the shore.

Every day this week kids can learn fun facts about pollinators, even things kids can do to help them like planting certain plants.

"During those talks we'll be giving little pollinator facts things that people may not realize, that bats are pollinators and there are a variety of other animals that you may not realize are actually assisting with pollination," explains Leonora Dillon, Zoo Education Curator.

The Zoo is putting on these activities everyday at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and will have even more activities for kids for 4th Friday and Pollinator Saturday.
