Primary Election results for Somerset County

The Maryland State Board of Elections reports the following results for local offices in Somerset County.

These individuals will be listed on the 2018 General Election ballot in November.

District 1 –  Somerset County District 1 Commissioner Craig Mathies will remain in his seat as the Democrat was unopposed in the 2018 Maryland Primary Election.

District 2-  Republican Charles Fisher will face off with Democrat Rex Simpkins in November for the position of Somerset County District 2 Commissioner. 

District 3 – Democratic candidate Deborah Nissley will oppose Republican candidate Eldon Willing in the 2018 general election for Commissioner of District 3.

District 4 – Republican candidate Charles Laird received 69.4 percent of the votes against Eddie Brimer for the County Commissioner for District 4. Laird will face off with Democratic candidate Ken Ballard on the November ballot.

District 5 – Republican candidate Mike Corbin and Democratic candidate Randy Laird will be listed in opposition on the general election ballot for the Somerset County District 5 Commissioner spot.
