Police: Maryland man trapped neighbors with tons of concrete

Maryland officials say an Ocean City man is now facing charges after allegedly building a road barrier weighing several tons that blocked his neighbors from leaving the residential dead end street.

According to the report, on Monday, June 26 at 2:00 PM Deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from the town of Willards for a road block on the 7000 block of State Street.
Police say that the town claimed David Catrino, 50 of Ocean City, had allegedly placed large concrete barriers on a dead end road. The barricade allegedly shut off all access to homeowners living past the obstruction, not allowing them to go in or out of the area.
Deputies met with town officials and Catrino and discovered he was a landowner in the area. Catrino incorrectly believed he owned the road; State Street is a county road, maintained by the town of Willards.  The 50-year-old reportedly refused to move the barricades, that weighed 2000 pounds each, and became disorderly.
Catrino was arrested and transported to Central Booking.  The barricades required heavy equipment to move them off the roadway.
