Police Chief resigns in Pocomoke City

A Maryland city will look for another police chief after their most recent police chief resigned.

47ABC has learned the Pocomoke City Police Chief William “Bill” Harden has resigned from his role with the police department on Monday. Harden’s resignation comes after he took on the leadership role at the law enforcement agency in 2015.

Julian Sadur reports that a “difference of opinion” between Harden and the administration on how policing should be done prompted his resignation.

The Pocomoke City Police Department will now be in search of their fourth police chief roughly three years.
