Legendary basketball coach makes appearance in Delaware
Hundreds of prospective Delaware voters gathered in Millville for a visit from one of the legends of college basketball.
Coach Bobby Knight made his way to the town's fire hall to speak to the voters of Delaware on behalf of Rob Arlett, a republican candidate for U.S. Senate.
The former head basketball coach at Army, Indiana and Texas Tech was greeted with a round of applause as he made his way in.
Bobby talked about one experience he had in The First State.
"I think we played Delaware once and they beat us, and I try to forget about it. I was pretty sure we lost a game to Delaware one time."
Democratic Senator Tom Carper is currently the incumbent, serving in his third term.
Knight was also in Worcester County this week on behalf of Scott Bernal, a candidate for Worcester County sheriff.
And Bobby isn't done yet on the eastern shore. The coach will speak Friday at the Sunset Grille in West Ocean City.
